Promesse is the second wine from Château Franc Maillet and represents wonderful value. This estate is located very close to the Pomerol plateau and bears all the hallmarks for which the region is celebrated for.
Tasting Notes
On the nose, it has notes of violets and a touch of truffle and black berries, whilst on the palate it is silky and velvety with a rich long voluptuous finish.

When a soldier from World War I purchased a hectare of vines in the appellation of Pomerol and then married, thus expanding the domain, Chateau Franc Maillet was created and has always been owned by the same family. Chateau Franc-Maillet's nearest neighbor to the left is the famous vineyard, Chateau Petrus. Chateau Franc-Maillet's 30 hectares of vines produce promising and regular wines year after year in four different appellations: Lalande de Pomerol, Pomerol, Saint-Emilion and Montagne-Saint-Emilion.
