Tapada De Coelheiros Red Gift Box
Composition: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Alicante Bouschet
Tapada de Coelheiros is almost black in colour. It's a hugely rich, almost impenetrable wine, with dark fruit and big solid tannins. It has great freshness and the richness that comes from the fruit makes the wine wonderful.
Herdade dos Coelheiros is an Alentejo Brand of great wines.
Each block is fermented separately in order to better express its singularity.

Vinification
The grapes were handpicked into 25kg boxes and immediately transported to the cellar where they were destemmed. The fermentation occurred in stainless steel tanks at 26–27°C. The new wine remained on its skins for a 5-day post fermentation maceration. Malolactic took place naturally in the tank. The wine was then racked into oak barrels where it aged for 18 months.
Climate
2015-2016 was influenced by a warm winter and a cooler spring, which led to a late ripening, promoting varietal aromas. The annual rainfall was just 489mm and the rainiest month was May. Both summer and fall were dry which allowed for the best moment to harvest. This combination of factors resulted in small and concentrated bunches.
Tapada De Coelheiros
It's been over 500 years of Tapada de Coelheiros, and that was the right amount of time – not more, not less.
We use a future-driven agricultural model that regenerates today what is needed tomorrow.
Manifesto
We work the land at nature’s pace; consciously and sustainably.
Our convictions ensure we use organic methods to produce our wines, nuts and olive oil.
Committed to the land, and to those who work it, we generate life while adhering to the
principles of truthfulness, authenticity and transparency.
By having different crops together, we bring out the best in biodiversity: the natural balance of
things.
We respect the soil’s microbiome, which responds by becoming more resilient. Seeing it heal and regenerate with our contribution is gratifying.
We never forget that we’re just the guardians of something priceless, shouldering our responsibility to be ever aware and brave.
The future is built step by step and hand in hand with the overwhelming force of nature.
